Great time last weekend in Quebec City, 1am bagels with T, did well on statistics midterm and assignment, GOT INTO the McGill Dance Company Mosaica!!!!!!!!, had some of my wonderful girlfriends over for dinner last night, got to have a sleep over with JEN last night (best thing ever just like when we were kids staying up all night and talking except we polished off two 1 litre bottles of wine not something I did as a child), and I bought turntables and intend on starting my brilliant career as a girl sleuth dj... well maybe I will just end up making some noise but at least I am giving it a try...
When I found out that I made the dance company I walked through the McGill ghetto yelling and screaming "they wanted me!" "I made it" "they think I can dance" , my boyfriend thought this was a riot but was completely supportive in letting me be totally excited.

Hmmm... am thinking should make a habit of late night runs to 24-hour bagel place after volunteering with Dans La Rue... last night Tamara and I went and bought fresh out of the oven hot bagels at 1am and nothing could have tasted better after serving hot dogs (half of which were rotten and had to be thrown out) Met some great kids with some great dogs on the street last night... they are all living behind this church until winter and one of them said the only ID card I need in life is my library card.

Nothing like working out your abs and ass for an hour to make your day seem brighter... good class today and thanks to the members of McGill's wrestling team who showed mild interest in observing my class - well 40 girls in work out clothes doing crunches I guess I can understand the appeal... thanks for the cameo Noah.

First mystery of day: why have Tony Blair and George Bush been nominated for the Nobel peace prize?
One of my moms says it is a conspiracy – sounds like this modern day keen girl detective should do some investigating. Kind of makes me think of that Calvin and Hobbes where Calvin thinks he might have a bee on his back so he asks Hobbes whether or not there is indeed a bee on his back, and Hobbes replies, “no.” Calvin moves and is promptly stung by the bee that was indeed on his back and the final panel features Hobbes asking “Did I mention to day was opposite day?” and Calvin replying, “Yes.”
I guess sometimes, well on opposite days, Warlord death machines could be considered suitable nominees for a peace prize.

So despite this horrifying definition of ‘peace,’ this girl sleuth is grinning like a teenaged boy who just lost his virginity because she spent the weekend in Quebec city for a very relaxing and romantic getaway with her favorite Hardy Boy (sorry Ned but all you ever wanted to do was hold my hand and shine the hood of my Red Mustang Convertible whereas my Hardy Boy cares more about the backseat of my car than the exterior). So seriously I had a wonderful time in the city and we stayed in a secluded little B&B in the countryside outside the city limits. On Sunday we discovered something called SAQ Depot, a place that allows you to bottle your own wine from their vast selection of bulk wine tanks with recycled bottles and do-it-yourself corking machines.

Finally, I find out tomorrow whether or not I get into the McGill Dance Company, Mosaica, and I am really nervous. 200 people auditioned for 7 spots. Please please please.

So John Lennon’s killer is up for parole – he has been in jail for as long as I have been alive.
